WHAT: Provost Academy, a new Colorado online high school that offers customized learning plans for every student, will give local families an interactive demonstration of the school’s virtual classroom, curricula and assessment tools. Join Provost Academy community members at a Community Information Meeting: Thursday, April 22 at A Spice of Life Event Center at 4:00 p.m.
Prospective high school students and their parents or guardians will have the opportunity to learn and ask questions about Provost Academy.
At Provost Academy:
• students can choose from more than 100 highly engaging online classes
• A.P. and honors courses, and an emphasis on science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) help prepare students for college and career
• customized lesson plans are developed with a proprietary modular curriculum design developed with Dr. Paul Kim, Assistant Dean of Stanford University’s School of Education
• students earn a high school diploma
• the lessons are interactive and students are provided instant feedback
• on-demand tutors and regular meetings with an Academic Advisor help keep students on track
