Restore Your Home With Top-Notch Vinyl Replacement Windows

31040793100?profile=original

If you’ve lived for any amount of time in the Denver area (or anywhere along the Colorado Front Range), you know it’s true: We get more than our fair share of hail storms.

In fact, the government agencies that track this sort of thing tell us we’re located smack in the middle of one of the worst hail corridors in the world… and certainly the worst in the United States.

A Denver or Colorado Front Range home owner can figure on an average of eight hail storms per year… a fact that keeps roofing companies, siding firms, and landscapers fairly hopping this time of year.

Not to mention insurance agencies!

Of course, not all hail storms are created equal.  A storm on the milder side might not inflict any damage on your home and yard… and you might get lucky, with the worst of the hail missing your home altogether (even though your neighbors might not have the same good fortune).

If you look outside after a hail storm and see a fair amount of broken tree branches and scattered leaves… damaged plants and bushes… chances are, your property has sustained some degree of hail damage.

When that’s the case, it’s time to call your insurance company, and to get quotes from contractors who can restore your property to its pre-storm beauty (and soundness).

And while you’re at it… don’t make the crucial mistake some home owners make when working to restore their homes from hail damage.

Don’t forget the windows! By the way you can check out our Windows Denver Colorado page

A Hail Storm Can Wreak Havoc On Your Windows

There are several indications you (or your qualified professional window replacement experts) can look for to determine how the hail storm has affected your windows… and what remedies you’ll have at your disposal.

  • First, check out the glass.  One of the most obvious indications of hail damage to your windows is cracked, broken, shattered, or pitted glass.  And don’t forget to check for obvious damage in the glazing or finish.
  • What about the screens?  It’s also pretty plain to tell you’ve had damage if you find mesh screens that’ve been torn or ripped.
  • The window frame is vulnerable, too.  If you see breaks or dents in the frame, or in the flashing around the window, you need help from a window replacement pro.

You’ll be able to spot the most obvious problems yourself.

But if you know your property has had hail damage, but you can’t see problems with your windows, you’d be well-advised to call a good window replacement company and have them check to make sure… while you’re still “in the window” (no pun intended) for your homeowners’ insurance coverage.

What Are Your Options For Recovery?

Will you have to replace damaged windows entirely?

Chances are, that will be the way to go, to make sure your property is fully restored to its pre-storm condition.

But in the case of some windows, you can get by with replacing only the hail-damaged glass.

Ask your window experts for an honest assessment of this option… if they’re worth their salt, a good window replacement company will know when to refer you to a glass company instead (and they’ll have a good glass company or two with whom they’ve partnered for such referrals).

When the windows need replacement, though, go with the best choice for Colorado’s climate and altitude: vinyl replacement windows from Amerimax.

They’re made right here in Colorado – not shipped from sea level – so they won’t warp or change shape (or lose their effectiveness) before they arrive at your home.  They’re specially designed to withstand our high-altitude UV ray bombardment, and to stand up against Colorado’s challenging weather.

Living in Colorado is wonderful, of course… but we do get a lot of hail, don’t we?  If your property sustains hail damage, you’ll find our local insurers and contractors (and especially our local window replacement specialists here in the 303 area code) know exactly what to do to make your home “right as rain” again.

31040792863?profile=originalRepresentatives from Larry H. Miller (LHM) Toyota Boulder presented a check for $10,000 to the Emergency Family Assistance Association on Saturday, October 6 during the CU vs. ASU football game. The grant will directly support the Job Uptake for Motivated Parents program, also known as JUMP. In conjunction with Workforce Boulder County, this initiative provides career counseling and job-readiness training for parents living below the federal poverty line, resulting in access to higher-paying jobs. This enables families to gain financial stability and self-sufficiency, allowing for greater opportunities for themselves and their children.

“As a family owned and operated company, we’re proud to support this wonderful organization that’s focused on building greater opportunities for families in need,” explained Jarred Black, general manager of LHM Toyota Boulder. “Investment in the JUMP program opens the doors to employment options so families can thrive long into the future, and supports our company mission to enrich the lives of people within our community.”

Assistance from Larry H. Miller Charities, the charitable arm of the dealership group, is directed toward women and children’s programs, with an emphasis on health and education. Funds are generated, in large part, through employee contributions.

Arvada, CO – Faustson, a worldwide leader in machining and additive manufacturing, has added a new 5-axis milling machine to its existing lineup of 5-axis milling, 3D metal printing, and multi-axis EDM technology. The DMU 95 monoBLOCK is from DMG MORI’s DMU monoBLOCK series of universal machining centers.

Fauston Vice President Heidi Hostetter said, "We strive to be responsive to what our customers need, and we kept getting quick-turn requests. We’ll use this new milling center exclusively for quick-turn projects. With it, we will deliver jobs in just one to two weeks, in and out, compared to a more typical eight-to-ten-week lead time."

Hostetter noted that their research showed them that the high-end precision shops in the region were at full capacity. In most cases it was six to eight weeks before a customer could expect to get a project on a machine. That, coupled with customers requesting quick-turn service, drove this high-six-figure purchase.

The new machine is known for its stability, is made from a single casting, and includes advanced software and 60 sensors that monitor its operations. Digital software provides the capability to program complex machining cycles at a much faster rate. Table tilt gives simultaneous 5-axis capability, rather than 4+1. Though the DMU 95 monoBLOCK handles all materials and super alloys, Fauston will use it for aluminum and titanium parts that require no additional operations other than heat treating.

“For Faustson, there is no learning curve on this machine,” said Andre Rusconi of DMG MORI. “They’re progressive and were one of the first in the region to add simultaneous 5-axis capability back in the late 1990s. They have a very high skill set and will get maximum use and value out of this purchase. They have five other machines with the same control system, so they hit the ground running. Those that don’t know the system have a six- to 12-month learning curve to understand the cutting and turning strategies. Given the economy, the customer demand, the low unemployment rate, equipment like this with a lot of automation capabilities is a wise investment.”

Scheduling the machine and making parts this way enables Faustson to deliver jobs 80% faster and get customers 80% BOM (Bill of Materials). That time savings gives Faustson customers the flexibility to handle the final 20% of the part-complete process in whatever way they choose and still come out ahead in terms of time to a completed part.

The applications for this machine span the multiple industries Faustson serves, including aerospace, defense, engineering, medical, and automotive. The increased capabilities it enables allow Faustson to expand their client base and bring additional economic activity to Denver and Colorado.

Besides the attributes previously mentioned, the DMU 95 monoBLOCK features:

  • A spindle touch probe for in-process quality control to verify internal diameters, circularity, and more.
  • A 20,000-rpm spindle, with high torque and high rpm for fine control on light duty cutting and power for heavy-duty work.
  • A laser for setting tools, checking form, runout and radius of each tool. If a tool dulls or breaks, the machine can be programmed to swap it out for a new tool on its own, allowing jobs to be left running unattended.
  • High-pressure coolant for faster drilling of holes and improved surface finishes.
  • Heidenhain TNC 640 contouring control, one of the most powerful in the industry.
  • An expanded tool changer capacity.
